What do I need to know about Rustic Collections before making a purchase?

Rustic Collections is a garage started, locally owned, family based business making unique home decor products, furniture & pet accessories from wine barrels. Every wine barrel product is individually handcrafted and one of a kind. 

What type of wine barrels are used?

Our home decor products, furniture & pet accessories are made from disused French oak & American oak wine barrels.

What type of finish is used on the wine barrel products?

We generally use Cabot’s danish oil on the wine barrel heads & staves to give them a natural finish. Where food will come into contact with the surface of the serving platters & fruit bowls, we use Gillys chopping board oil for food hygiene reasons. We also use Gillys outdoor timber oil to repel water on the pet feeders.

Will the wine barrel product I order online look exactly the same as the wine barrel product displayed in Rustic Collections online shop?

The repurposed wine barrel used in the building process will slightly vary the size & cosmetic look of the wine barrel product you order online. This is due to wine barrels varying in size & shape from barrel to barrel. It also depends on what type of wine was aged in the barrel at the winery as this will change the colour of the inside of the barrel. The wine barrels may also have minor damage from transportation and can be weathered during storage.

You can order a wine barrel product through our online shop here on our website.

How does online ordering work?

After placing your online order you will be emailed a receipt of your purchase. Once your order has been fulfilled you will receive an email letting you know your wine barrel product is ready to be shipped or picked up. 

How long is the wait list for a wine barrel product to be built?

Each wine barrel product is built to order. Our production line waiting list can range from 5 - 20 business days, sometimes it takes a little longer and sometimes a little less. It depends on how many orders we have in line and how many products a customer orders.

How long does it take for a wine barrel product to be built?

Each wine barrel product varies in size and complexity. Depending on which wine barrel product is being built it can range from 1 - 5 business days. Our goal is to make a high quality product that you are going to love.

Is shipping of online orders available?

We do offer our customers shipping for online orders.

Our shipping area covers Australia wide.

We ship our products via Australia Post using their standard shipping method.

It is really only beneficial for online order pickups if you live in our service area which covers Perths Metropolitan area and Perths Greater region.

When & where can I pickup my online order from?

Pickup of online orders is by appointment only of a weekday between 9am to 5pm at our Baldivis workshop.

What if I am unhappy with my wine barrel product?

We want you to love your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, or if your product arrives damaged, we are here to help. Our return & refund policy can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Return & Refund Policy’ link at the bottom of this page.

How can I care for my wine barrel product?

If your wine barrel product is looking dull it is best practice to apply a coat of oil to rejuvenate & protect the surface. We also recommend to store your wine barrel product inside as it can be affected by the weather if used outside.
